News: Repost: Translation Help needed

We're looking for individuals to help with translation for Mapraider 2.0. If you or someone you know has a knowledge of gaming terminology, and is interested in donating some time to translate small bits of text from English, please contact us and let us know.

Based on Mapraider traffic over the last few years, we're hoping to start with translations for Dutch, French, German and Spanish, but any contributions are welcome and appreciated.

    And yes, if you're have time and the desire to help, I am still definitely needing a Danish translation! :)

    Regarding POEditor -- we all switched to it a while back as the other tool was too expensive and I could only have one language in it at a time. I updated my post on the first page of this thread with info about using POEditor in case you hadn't seen it already. Let me know if you have any questions or need assistance. Thanks so much for your help!

    Just so you know, I'll be starting a 10-day launch countdown on February 19th with the site going live on March 1st. I'm not mentioning this to rush you or ask you to have the translation done by then. Just wanted to give you an update on the timeline if you didn't see my earlier post about it.

    Ok, so you have singular and pular forms for strings but what do i do if i need different forms (different word endings) for different numbers?
    form 1: 1, 21, 31, 41, *1
    form 2: 2, 3, 4, 22, 23, 24, *2, *3, *4
    form 3: 5-20, 25-30, 35-40, *5-(*+1)0
    * could be 2,3,4,5 etc.

    @JRGoesGreenland: Make sure you join all of the projects. Looks like you only joined the "Global" one, but there are four other, smaller ones (which might be easier to start with). There are links to each in my instruction post.

    @UnShame: Separate each plural form by a pipe symbol (the "|" character). For example: "form 1|form 2|form 3" In the English version (which has two forms), you should see something like this:
    This map has 1 rating|This map has 2 ratings
    If you don't, be sure you've set your reference language to English. There is more information in my instruction post in the pluralization section.

    "<li>Type "showhud" and press the ENTER key to turn the HUD off</li>"

    i'd suggest you to change showhud to togglescreenshotmode in both UT3 and UT2004 tips list because this command hides everything on the screen when showhud leaves some onscreen elements

    Sorry, my mistake, FM. I only went through it briefly, but I think, I'm all set now. This doesn't look too hard. I think, I can get it done by the end of next week. But I'll stay in touch, if I run into any problems.
