What information do we collect?

Personal: Name, alias, birth year, email addresses, password

We do not store passwords on our server. Instead, we store one-way hashes. This means even we cannot see what the passwords are! If you lose your password, we will generate a new one and send it to you.

We ask for your birth year to comply with Federal law (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act) and do not ask for your birth month or day as it is generally not needed and lessens the amount of personal information we ask of you.

Usage: First login, last login, total number of logins, internet address you last logged in from, activity and error logs

This data helps us monitor the health of Mapraider, provide aggregate statistical information to members (eg. total comments/ratings/downloads/etc. for each map), diagnose errors and slowness issues when they crop up, and perform security audits and prevent abuses of the system.

Optional: Your country, biography, other aliases you go by, game systems you play, your favorite game system, game type and genre, clan information and social network links

At your discretion, you may provide this optional information as part of your public profile on the site. This information is not required, is visible by everyone and is your responsibility to maintain.
