Over the next couple of weeks, I'll be upgrading the application and database servers that the site runs on. I don't expect too much downtime or any major issues, but please be patient as this is the first time in many years that the site has been moved. I'll post an update once the transition has been completed.
The database server has been migrated and I'll be watching it closely over the next few days to make sure it functions properly. I'll be updated the application server over the course of a day or so as I find the time to do it. Thanks again for your patience.
Static asset server is migrated. Application portions are all that remain. Some dependencies are required for this to happen, so it might take a few more days.
Some things may be broken or have issues. Most notably, map submission is currently offline as I need to create a new file-upload system that is reliable and doesn't depend on Flash.
Also, because the transition took a few days, any changes made to avatar images, or map submissions/edits made during the past few days may not be present on the new site. I will make sure that those files have been moved from the old server as soon as possible.
And finally -- as part of the update, I was able to configure the site to be entirely served over a secure connection rather than just partially. Note that you may need to clear your browser cache in order for this update to be reflected.
Thank you again for your patience as I work towards completing the move. I will post a final update once the old server has been officially decommissioned.
The old server has been decommissioned and the site is now completely running in its new home. More updates as I finish up the remaining testing and functionality, but please let me know if you find anything odd in the meantime. Thanks again.
