These 2 silo's used to be a part of a big 'Bush'-factory where economy was the one and only purpose. On a good day a sniper killed the big boss (the sniper got a statue almost as big as the Liberty Statue, but he got executed in Texas) and the factory was closed. An UT volunteer saw his opportunity to rebuild the silo's to some kind of arena (at least, I tried).
This is my first map for UT. You can play it for Deathmatch too, but an (small) update will be coming for DM particularly.
The 'brush' thing was new to me, so I had problems with brushes I created in the beginning of the level and so on. But with many poly's and after making HOM's disappear I got finished the architecture. When I started to create the paths for the bots, I realized I had built the level through 'human' eyes ... Overall the bots do fine ... I think nobody could ever make the bots do what I wanted them to do. Never play with less than 7 bots (for domination, in DM is everything allowed:-)), I had the best bot performance with 16 bots. There are 16 PlayerStarts. I always like many bots :)
In the beginning they used the elevators well, but at a moment they began to jump of them, I have read dozens of tutorials, but I could find nothing that wasn't right :(, if someone can help me with that plz mail me so I can release the Dm-version with bot-elevators! I really am hopeless about those elevators, because they worked before !
And to set the bots for Domination too, was even more though, the biggest problem was the Control Point on the roof cause at a certain moment they refused to use the elevator as they were used too before :(, but they DO use the other ways to that roof.
I also had to remove the Lifttags for the big connection elevator, because they always jumped of and fell dead or were burnt by lava. I spent many time on those bot paths. But I learned from my mistakes (probably tons of them) and hope to get feedback and create other levels in the future.
