Deck_40 was originally going to be a pretty close remix of Deck16 but it turned out to be quite different because there seemed to be more things I didn't like about the layout than I originally imagined. Main point of the map was to show that remakes don't have to be a case of moving 3 weapons around or just retexturing (some people seem to think that work like that deserves 10/10 O_o)
I designed it to be run in OpenGL at brightness 6 but the brightness you need might depend from pc to pc. I don't care what it looks like in D3D since all maps look ugly in D3D for UT :p
Sorry if the map is a bit laggy. I tried my best to keep a low polycount throughout. I am still very pleased that I got a max of around 300 polys in view although I would have liked to have put some more detail in a few areas :)
Some very small bits are also rushed off since I got so bored of the map and wanted to release something for once!
Also, the map did have some more fog effects but the lag was too much since ut can't handle transparent sprites close-up very well (still more efficient than volumetric lighting and you can get a nice swirly effect!)
