Epic's WAR-Avalanche converted to VCTF & scaled down for 20/24-slot servers. No in-game changes were made to this map with the exception of adding a MapPic for Instant Action mode. Also, I needed to recook for both the PC and the PS3 due to the fact that this was originally cooked on the v1.1 patch, and some (mostly PS3ers) have reported issues. I am hoping that the recook using UnrealEd v2.1 will resolve these issues. I do NOT own a PS3, so I have no way to verify the cook. For those familiar with Avalanche-v2, you should notice no changes in-game. If this map is new to you, then read on.
Changes made from original map include:
* Eliminated center cavern (too easy for peeps to get turned around inside)
* Cut the center section completely out of the terrain, decreasing the map size by 30% in length & 10% in width.
* Deleted the two sub-bases at the bottom of stairs.
* Added Raptor, Cicada, Viper, & Scavenger (1 each) per team.
* Added Flak Cannon to Weapon Lockers.
* Increased StallZ from 2000 units to 4500 units to allow for flying vehicles
* Added Blocking Volume ceiling just above StallZ, to prevent flying Scavenger bug exploits.
* Removed Blur actor, as it impaired visibility while flying.
* Added Skydome & re-adjusted lighting.
* Added 12 health vials to each base by stairs.
* Added two medium health packs on either side of center structure.
* Added Bio-Rifle pickups near center structure.
* Placed UDamage, Redeemer, & Berserk in center structure.
* Added Volume PathNodes for AI Bot support for flying vehicles.
* Added additional FogSheets mid-map to discourage Base-to-Base sniping.
* Created new MiniMap.
