"Total Ratings" in Member Stats

Avarin Avarin — July 1, 2011
Hello everyone,

I had been out of the UT community since about 2005 and I recently have gotten back into it, starting from where I left off with UT2003 and working my way slowly up. So I've come to this site and it seems to be one of the few good sites left for finding UT-series maps.

I'm commenting and rating as I go along, but I notice my "total ratings" count in my member stats section has been stuck at 7 for months and months. Is there any way this could be fixed? It would be nice to keep track of my total # of ratings.

On an unrelated note, I understand the UT-related mapping community is pretty much in shambles, but are there any other sites you guys can recommend? I used to use Nali City but it died years ago; UnrealPlayground looks about as active as this site but with a much less helpful UI; and Google has found me another map-aggregating site called MapFactory. Is that really all there is?

A couple of us UT(2k4) fans still hang out at TitanOnslaught http://ut2004.titaninternet.co.uk/forums/index.php
It's not what it used to be but it's still a pretty active group of UT enthusiasts. We would love to welcome you on board.

I firstly upload my maps to map-factory, then i upload here, but anyway, the site is www.map-factory.org, you can upload maps there without need a login, and there are still a lot of maps for UT2004 and UT2003, the same as here, but i think mapraider has a lot more of options when uploading a map like put description, other links, discussion places, etc, so, i think here is better, but anyway i hope you have map-factory link helps ;)

    Thanks :)

The only thing about Map Factory is that the site changes the filenames of the map archives and there are a lot of incomplete uploads. I quit downloading from there (unless absolutely necessary) because a number of maps uploaded there were re-archived by people other than the author and they left out readme files and packages. It's a bummer really.

FreakinMeany, any word on the "total ratings" count? Is this just a bug that will be around until MapRaider 2?

It's not so much a bug as some regular maintenance that I have to manually run on Mapraider 1.0 :D I'll try to run it as soon as I can. But in any case, yes, it is fixed with Mapraider 2.

    Edit: Done :)
