This map has been in the making now for 5 years! The reason for it being this long, aside from the on-and-off workings around life, mostly stem from its shear size, this being so large that it pushed the 1st Unreal Engine to the very limits of its capabilities...and sometimes beyond! In fact, this map grew so large at one point that I actually attempted porting it to UT2004, only to find that all the brush rotations get reset upon a direct port! This, of course, gets into too much technicality for this description, but the case in point it that this map was made with the original Unreal Tournament, and there it must stay, however much the technology struggles with it.
This is not a perfect map. It definitely has its flaws, which I hope the players will forgive as they traverse this behemoth of a map. This map struggles with my Radeon 9700 and 2.8 GHz Pentium 4 Processor, and I recommend a well equipped computer for good framerates.
As for the map, the premise is that of breaking out of jail...on a very large scale. Thirty Objectives stand between you and your airship escape route. Everything from destroying a generator, to crossing a giant suspension bridge, to calling air-strikes to destroy a wall! I even threw in a helicopter which can be shot down with enough fire.
Feedback is welcome, although dramatic changes to this map are not likely to occur any time soon.
Also, if there are any missing packages, please let me know so I can add them to the zip file. There were many custom packages, and I tried to include them all, but it would be very easy to miss one.
*** That said, please note that this map requires that the AssaultBonusPack also be installed. ***
