DM-EvilDead. Why is this getting such a high rating?

:[ I must have some funny ideas about rating a map because! for the life of me I cannot see why this map is rating so high and if I give my score of 4.5 I will most definitley get an unfair rating. Besides the fact that the Author has done a reasonbale job of trying to recreate the cottage from the Evil Dead movie, the map has nothing that makes it special. It is just a big rectangular room with a few static meshes in it, the lighting is inconsistent and more than not, does not have a source. There are windows but what skybox? there is moonlight coming in one of the windows but there is no moon. Gameplay was mediocre to say the least, most of the time I was dying from the lighting gun and with hardly any cover when you play on the higher skill levels that is not good, let alone the fact that you can barley see the bots on the other side of the room which left me more than not firing at where I could see there weaponfire. So! What is the deal here? Please enlighten me?

Just give it the rating you want. I gave DM-Peak2003[FUT] a rating of 6.8 and it got rated fair, even though almost every rating I have moderated is above 8. Besides, there’s no need to worry about 1 unfair rating, because Karma no longer affects your access to the site.

a lot of times maps on a popular theme (i.e. a movie people like) will get high scores 'cause objectivity goes right out the window when you're talking about things you like. don't worry about getting unfair ratings. probably if you don't get a few, you're not being critical enough.
